What is Critical Race Theory, Really?

"Just being honest: that phrase really sums up what parents demand—not, generally, a jingoistic system of education, but also not a reflexively critical one. Parents want an honest, fair, and reasonably apolitical curriculum that depicts the United States as it was and is, warts and all." https://www.city-journal.org/what-is-critical-race-theory-really

In my opinion, the battle against CRT-based education is very difficult to wage because of the shifting and hollow accusations of those who advocate for it. Having said that, those of us with conservative values of fairness, honesty, and compassion see the battle as very simple: stop lying to our children.
Along the lines of lying is hiding the truth, which is a method of lying. Unless school districts are completely transparent in their entire set of lessons and supplemental materials, such as Internet links to videos, blogs, media websites, etc., there is no honesty, and hiding the truth is dishonesty.
And yet, once objectionable material is revealed, it is blatantly denied, or blatantly manipulated into biased projection of guilt. It must be very clear to everyone who holds conservative values dear: CRT-based education is the snake that keep shifting and squirming, always accusing, always denying, always blaming. The claims of educational equity and culturally responsive teaching are ever-morphing euphemisms, always accusing of deliberate unfairness and a calculated system of denial and oppression.
Of course, these are so absurd that it is revolting to even have to address them.
Until next time, De Opresso Liber.
